SUGAR LAND, TX — The Fort Bend County Republican Party celebrates and honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King’s work for justice, equality, and freedom from racism lives on today. Dr. King gave his life for his work in order to make our country better for all Americans.
“As we celebrate the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are reminded of the profound impact that can be felt when someone answers the call to serve others. Dr. King sought a colorblind society where all Americans have an equal opportunity — a notion that is under attack from today’s ‘woke’ left,” said Bobby Eberle, Chairman of the Fort Bend County Republican Party.
Dr. King’s vision for people to not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character is just as important today in 2023 as it was in 1963.
“I encourage all residents of Fort Bend County to reflect upon the life and work of Dr. King and apply the principles by which he lived to their own lives,” said Eberle.
